Akron Porcelain and Plastics Co. of Akron, Ohio announced its acquisition of the assets of Universal Clay Products of Sandusky, Ohio, in July 2005. Universal Clay Products was a custom molder of industrial ceramics serving the foundry and electrical industries.

"The acquisition complemented our existing product line as Universal Clay Products had an emphasis in industrial ceramics, " says Ken Burkins, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
